About P & W Cars

P & W Cars started less than a year ago, not as a grand plan, but simply because retirement left Dad with a bit too much time on his hands. After years of the corporate world, with structure, leadership and meeting new people on a daily basis he needed something to get stuck into again- something that gave a bit of purpose, kept him active, and paid for the odd holiday here and there.

Cars have always been a shared passion between us since Dad spent all of my hard earned pocket money at the ripe age of 14 on a Mark II Golf GTI I couldn’t drive, so this felt like the natural step from hobby to business.

More than anything, it’s given us the opportunity to spend more time together and build something meaningful, rewarding, and genuinely enjoyable.

This isn’t about volume or trying to make fortunes- it’s about good cars, treated properly, and dealing with people in a straightforward, honest way. We do this because we want to, not because we have to.

You’ll see that reflected in how we work and the cars we sell. Every vehicle is carefully chosen, properly prepared, and fairly priced. We simply won’t sell anything we wouldn’t be happy to own ourselves. As a start-up with limited capital, sourcing the right cars and being hyper diligent is an absolute necessity to this being viable and hopefully a success!
William Saunders — Director, Sales & Marketing
Cars have always been a passion of mine. So much so that I lined up a sales job at Jaguar Land Rover for the day after I finished 6th form at 18. I became the youngest ever qualified Sales Executive at JLR and enjoyed continued success for 5 years with the brand. This early milestone gave me a strong foundation in working with premium vehicles and delivering a high standard of customer experience which I hold closely with me to this day.

From JLR, I was hired into a sales role by a customer I sold cars to, selling luxury packaging into high end brands, selling B2B. I later moved into the technology sector, where I now work in software sales. My role involves managing large clients, long-term relationships, and complex commercial discussions; experience that translates directly into how we approach the business today. It’s given me a structured way of thinking about sales, growth, and making sure everything we do is sustainable and well thought through.

Within P & W Cars, I focus on the bigger picture; how we present ourselves, how we grow, and ensuring compliance and operational excellence. I also get involved in sales whenever I can (the bit I enjoy most).

For me, this business is about combining something I genuinely enjoy with doing things the right way, keeping it straightforward, transparent, and easy to deal with.

Outside of work, you’ll usually find me with my wife and young daughter, on the golf course or tennis court, or enjoying a roast dinner in the pub.

Paul Saunders - Director, Operations, Sales, Head Valeter (Everything else!)
I’ve spent most of my working life in relationship banking, working directly with commercial clients and managing various size teams to deliver a great outcome for customers, staff and shareholders. I also ran my own small corporate finance business for over 10 years, which really gave me an insight into winning business by treating people properly and delivering on our promises.

Alongside that, cars have always been a genuine interest, not just a hobby but something I’ve been actively involved in for years.

Over the last 40 years, I’ve bought, owned restored and sold nearly 100 vehicles (much to my wife Sharon’s delight). That experience gives you a good sense of what makes a car worth owning- how it should drive, how it should look, and just as importantly, how it should be presented to the next owner. I’ve always believed that if something doesn’t feel right, it probably isn’t and that’s an approach I bring into the business every day.

I now run the day-to-day side of P & W Cars, from sourcing vehicles to preparing them to a high standard and dealing directly with customers from first enquiry through to handover. I keep things simple: honest conversations and well-prepared cars.

When I’m not selling cars (or cleaning them, as Wills likes to remind me), I’m usually in the garden, on babysitting duties, or somewhere abroad. I can’t say I don’t enjoy a holiday.

Dream car: Porsche 911 Carrera 4S (Perhaps Wills and I will have to share one)
Current car: Audi A6 Avant

At the end of the day, this is a business built on trust, enjoyment, and doing things properly.

Thanks for visiting, we hope we can help you find the right car.
